Welcome to the website of the Researchgroup John Duns Scotus.
The Researchgroup consists of seven theologians who study the work of John Duns Scotus (1266-1308). In our publications we analyze and explain his work, and try to show its relevance to contemporary theology and philosophy.
Four members of our Researchgroup, Prof. Antoon Vos, Dr. Henri Veldhuis, Prof. dr. Andreas Beck and Dr. Martijn Back, participated in a conference of the Franciscan Johannes-Duns-Skotus-Akademie about 'Die Franziskaner und die Reformation - in Geschichte und Gegenwart', which was held oktober 26th.-28th. 2016 in Hofheim am Taunus.

In 2013 our Researchgroep JDS studied Scotus' Ordinatio I,41, a quaestio with Scotus' fundamental analysis of God's election and reprobation. Our findings were published in an article in the Dutch journal Kerk en Theologie (2014, 65, 3).
